If you get up early or can manage it, while it is still dark before sunrise and the sky is dark enough, look for Leonids zooming through the sky. This is one celestial show that never gets tiring.
The show starts within and near the constellation Leo the Lion. So use your star chart or phone device or tablet device sky chart to locate the constellion for your location.
Mark your calendar for the December viewing. This is one I have watched for years.
December 13-14, 2016, mid-evening until dawn, Geminids.
As always, thank to earthsky.org and their team for the info.
